Warning: Before you enter an online contest

So last night you were up, watching the big beautiful moon right through your window which caught you to suddenly light up your bedside lamp and compose that wonderful poetry-masterpiece of yours!

And now you sit gazing at your computer screen for various online contests that come by your acquaintance every now and then just like those marvelous-at-marketing people appear in a local bus! And its only this time that you will entertain them because you got something which you think can go in there and who knows might win you a mightier prize as well!

The idea is not bad but needs a little carefulness. Putting up your creation on-line on a portal in the name of a contest is much more than Participation. An artist is said to be possessive about whatever he creates and therefore it is his duty to ensure that his artwork lies safe there: On-line!

Putting up together certain necessary points which a participant should look up for before Uploading his/her artwork:

1. Protecting your artwork: Your artwork is your child and nobody is going to be bothered about it getting kidnapped! Make sure the portal has clearly mentioned its copyright terms & conditions and you understand and agree to them. The portal should ideally let the copyrights reserved with you taking liberty of usage of your artwork with your due permission or within defined criteria.

2. : Experts Advice & Review: A few of the portals are associated with the veterans of the industry as their jury members. Such contests for sure portray some credibility. If you can at least get your poetry read or your photograph seen by somebody big from the field, it worth a try!

3. Peer Comments: You can also look up for portals that offer you the facility where others can come and see your artwork and are able to post their opinion about it . This helps in building up a generic point of view about the artwork’s overall appeal. And needless to mention, you get a clearer and of course a better picture of your artwork as per the junta view.

4. Exposure: This point is of a great importance as a portal hosting an online contest is bound to give you a huge exposure if not a promising gift hamper! An artist should always have a look on the fan-base of the portal, join in its social media circles and keep a track of its usual activities . The comments given by other fans are worth a read since you get to know the brand/portal in and out.

5 Tips for Artists to Use Twitter

Amitabh Bachhan is there. Priyanka Chopra is there. Even A R Rahman is also on Twitter. Reason? Quick and easy connection with fans and followers. Being in touch with them. Making the fans part of their life.

Here we share 5 ways artists can use Twitter for self branding, for getting noticed and for getting steady fan following:

#1 Get Twitter Handle and Setup Keyword Rich Bio:

The first and foremost step is to get yourself a Twitter Handle. We recommend choosing a handle which has your name in it. Which depicts your personality. Something like “TheOneStar” is not useful as your Twitter handle :) The next step is to write a powerful bio of yourself. Mention keywords which showcase your skills, talent, passion and personality. Keywords in bio are used by Twitter in search so ensure that you make it keyword rich. This will help you in ‘being found’ on Twitter.

#2 Connect with Influential People:

Once the profile is created, the next step for you is to connect with people. As a starting point, connect with highly influential people from your industry. Follow what they are tweeting about and what is being talked about. This will help you in being updated about latest happenings and also draw some inspiration and motivation :)

The best way to search for such users is to use the Search feature of Twitter. Simply log in to Twitter and go to http://search.twitter.com. Type in the keywords based on interest or the name and you can find relevant people as well as tweets. Another option is to look out in Twitter directories like Twellow. Such directories allow you to search people based on categories, # of followers/ following, interests etc. Very useful if used effectively.

Social media is all about sharing and connecting. If you find something worth sharing, retweet it. Make sure you respond to @messages sent to you.  Be part of the community. Join in interesting conversations, respond to people and to interesting tweets.

#5 Maintain Consistency:

Twitter is not something where you can be active for couple of days a week and expect to build a steady fan following. It demands time and attention. You need to give some dedicated time for connecting with people every day. Thanks for smartphones, you can do the same while on move or even when you are away from your computer.

Applauses Captured!

In each of us is hidden a Story teller, one who loves to open up new windows to the world, looks up beyond the horizons and dreams in the day just to mar a virgin sheet of paper with a fantastic fable. Tumbhi came up with a Short Story Writing Contest called “Somewhere Sometime” to catch hold of such beautiful birds of imagination with only one string of condition attached, i.e. the story was required to have a twist.

Each entry was individually analyzed by the jury which comprised of Kiran Khalap (author, Brand Consultant and founder of Chlorophyll Brand & Communications Consultancy); Javed Siddiqui (urdu and hindi screenwriter, dialogue writer and playwright form India, he has written over 50 storylines, screenplays and dialogues which comprises of films like DDLJ, Umraao Jaan, Taal, Pardes, Raja Hindustani and many more); and Pankaj Shukla (a film critic, a senior journalist, a book reviewer, writer, director, and a keen traveler).

Beautiful captures of visionary pieces were tracked and judges could only give some to-be-remembered-forever remarks on the entries.

The entries were judged on the basis of 4 criteria: Plot, Narrative, Language and Twist .They were looking for a perfect balance of idea and execution along with the compulsory flawless of the language used.

Although the expectations made are seldom defeated, the jury was able to make some concrete remarkes on the quality of the entries that poured in .

Following the criteria trail, the remarks are as under:

  • Plot: Basically considered as the idea of the story, the plan wherein all the events of the story fall in certain sequence. Some of the entries were quite surprising with their plots with good build ups and imagery. The feel was remarkable at some reading points. Some stories also came up with slight moral reflection and subtle humor which was highly admired
  • Narrative: what the reader sees and hears of what happens – and how he sees and hears it. The Hindi entries were almost flawless in their narration. Although a much higher level of good narrative by the use of quality dialogues was expected which was missing.
  • Language: The words weaving and unfolding the events in the story need to be carefully chosen in terms of their tone and elegancy. A couple of the English ones were quite poor in their use of language with the extensive usage of sms language and not-so-decent words although the Hindi stories stil scored some decent points in this respect.
  • Twist-in-the-tale: The surprise element in the story which changes the course of the events and takes it to a new climax, something which is not predictable by the reader. Many of the writers used GHOSTS as the only object of Twist which was kind of predictable. The twists could have been much twistier with more element of surprise in it. Because ofcourse there could be many more surprising things than ghosts alone :-)

Tumbhi team expects the writers who participated and got a chance to run their artworks under such veterans of the writing world will surely benefit from such valuable feedback!!

Dreams that came true!

Every one of us a dreamer, the difference is only that some of us remember them when we wake up and some of us let go the flow of thoughts. The dreams may vary as per night or day but the core ambitions travel along with every vision that comes to the dreamer’s mind.

An artist also dreams. He dreams to transform all his dreams into reality one day. And what if someday, somebody actually holds his hands and guides him through? A bunch of dreamers experienced something like this! They got a chance to cherish their dream: being a filmmaker, a scriptwriter, an actor.

Tumbhi came up with a scriptwriting contest back in May 2011 called “Paanch”. The prize was only a promise to transform the words into reality i.e. the winning entries would be converted to actual short films under the mentorship of none other than Anurag Kashyap.

Six Short films were made by Tumbhi. Shor and Sujata were part of those six films. Come November’2011, the film Shor goes to Abu Dhabi Film Festival (U.A.E) 2011-12, gets discovered by the right eyes for filmmaking, receives rave reviews from many critics and wins the Best Narrative Short: Grand Jury Prize.

But Shor was made only to shout out loud what it actually was! It grabs another Best Narrative Short: Grand Jury Prize at South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFF). Neeraj Ghayawan, Scriptwriter and director of Shor , could actually see now his dreams flying high right there in the clouds above. Making much more ‘Shor’ than its name, Shor won another Grand Jury Prize at 10th Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.

But Shor was not alone here for the accolades. Huma Qureshi, the lead actress of the other short film “Sujata” gets a special mention by the grand jury at IFFLA. Sujata, a dream-child of the scriptwriter Annie Zaidi and director Shlok Sharma, becomes just another route of bliss for its conceivers.

To Tumbhi.com, it was all about giving feathers to the dreams of artists! Looking forward to even more feathers getting added to their caps, Tumbhi takes pride in translating at least a few dreams to reality because as Dr. Abdul Kalam said, “you have to dream before your dreams can come true.”

100 साल सिनेमा के: तरक्की के या गिरावट के?

हम हिंदुस्तानी परंपराओं से जश्न मनाने के शौकीन लोग हैं। हमें सिर्फ खुश होने का बहाना चाहिए। ढोल, ताशे और नगाड़े तो बस तैयार रहते हैं बजने के लिए। इस बार जश्न सिनेमा का हो रहा है। सौ साल के हिंदुस्तानी सिनेमा का। इस जश्न के बरअक्स तमाम बातें ऐसी हैं जिन पर बातें की जा सकती हैं, बहसें हो सकती हैं और गंभीर परिचर्चाएं आयोजित की जा सकती हैं। लेकिन, सिनेमा की सुध ही किसे है? न सरकार को और न सरोकार को। सिनेमा वहीं फिर से पहुंचता दिख रहा है, जहां से ये चला था।

कहते हैं कि सौ साल में हर वो संस्था अपनी पूर्णगति को प्राप्त हो लेती है जिसका जरा सा भी ताल्लुक आम लोगों से रहता है। जिस सिनेमा को बाहरगांव में गरीबी, रजवाड़ों, झोपड़पट्टियों और मदारियों के खेल तमाशों से शोहरत मिली, वो हिंदुस्तानी सिनेमा अब रा वन, रोबोट और कोचादईयान की वजह से विदेश में जाना जा रहा है। पाथेर पांचाली, मेघे ढाका तारा, सुजाता, देवदास, मुगल ए आजम, मदर इंडिया का जमाना अब गया, अब सिनेमा दबंग, वांटेड, सिंघम और सिंह इज किंग हो गया है। और, ये चलन केवल हिंदी सिनेमा का ही नहीं है बल्कि हिंदी सिनेमा में ये चलन दक्षिण की उन फिल्मों से आया है, जिन्हें बनाने वालों को सिनेमा का सिर्फ एक ही मतलब समझ आता है और वो है पैसा।

पैसा एंटरटेनमेंट से आता है और सिल्क स्मिता बनीं विद्या बालन ने अभी पिछले साल ही तो समझाया था कि एंटरटेनमेंट होता क्या है? एंटरटेनमेंट का ये नया मतलब फिल्म मेकर्स ने खुद निकाला है। नहीं तो ऐसा एंटरटेनमेंट तो पहले भी बड़े परदे पर होता रहा है। दक्षिण में श्रीदेवी और कमल हासन की शुरूआती फिल्में अगर आप देख लें तो शायद कांतिलाल शाह भी शरमा जाएं। बताने वाले बताते रहे हैं कि कैसे हिंदी सिनेमा में सुपर स्टार बनने के बाद श्रीदेवी ने अपनी तमाम बी और सी  ग्रेड वाली फिल्मों के राइट्स खरीद कर उनके प्रिंट अपने कब्जे में कर लिए थे। ये बात कोई बीस-पचीस साल पहले की है, लेकिन उससे थोड़ा और पीछे जाएं तो सिनेमा में सेक्स का तड़का लगाने के लिए राज कपूर ने पहले पहल मेरा नाम जोकर में सिमी ग्रेवाल के सहारे, फिर सत्यम् शिवम् सुंदरम् में जीनत अमान के सहारे और राम तेरी गंगा मैली में मंदाकिनी के सहारे खुलेआम कोशिशें कीं। नारी सौंदर्य के बहाने हुई इन कोशिशों को कलात्मकता की सफेद लेकिन भीगी साड़ी में ढकने की वो कोशिशें अब तक जारी हैं और साथ ही जारी है सिनेमा और मनोरंजन का वो संघर्ष जो दादा साहेब फाल्के की बनाई पहली हिंदुस्तानी फिल्म राजा हरिश्चंद्र के साथ ही शुरू हो गया था। जाहिर है दूसरे कारोबारों की तरह सिनेमा भी सिर्फ एक कला शुरू से नहीं रहा। इसे कारोबार के लिए ही रचा गया और अब तक कारोबार ही इसे रच रहा है।

सिनेमा और कारोबार के बीच एक बहुत महीन फासला रहा है। कुछ कुछ वैसा ही जैसे कि नग्नता और अश्लीलता में होता है। हिंदी समेत तमाम दूसरी भाषाओं में सिनेमा ने कुछ बेहतरीन पड़ाव पचास और साठ के दशक में पार किए। तब भी भारत का सिनेमा विदेश जाता था। सराहा जाता था और पुरस्कार भी पाता था। पर तब तक सिनेमा पथभ्रष्ट नहीं हुआ था। और तब तक सेंसर बोर्ड में ऐसे लोग भी नहीं आए थे जो कैसे इसकी ले लूं मैं, जैसे विज्ञापन तो सार्वजनिक प्रदर्शन के लिए पास कर देते रहे हों लेकिन फिल्म में तिब्बत के झंडे को लेकर उनका सामाजिक बोध एकदम से जाग जाता रहा हो। देखा जाए तो भारत में सिनेमा के सौ साल एक ऐसी बेतरतीब उगी फसल है, जिसे काटने वाले और अपना बताने वाले बहुत हैं, लेकिन इसका रकबा बढ़ाने की और बाकी की बंजर जमीन पर हल चलाने की कोशिश करने वाले गिनती के भी नहीं बचे हैं। अपने आसपास से कहानियां बटोरने वाला भारतीय सिनेमा कब धीरे धीरे डीवीडी सिनेमा में बदल गया, लोगों को पता तक नहीं चला।

असल कहानियों का टोटा

ब्लैक फ्राइडे, पांच, देव डी और गुलाल जैसी फिल्मों से मशहूर हुए निर्देशक अनुराग कश्यप कहते हैं, भारतीय सिनेमा की कोई एक पहचान नहीं है। हॉलीवुड फिल्मों की बात चलते ही हम कह देते हैं कि वहां सिनेमा तकनीक से चलता है। हमारे यहां तकनीक अभी उतनी सुलभ नहीं है। हर निर्माता सिर्फ तकनीक को सोचकर सिनेमा नहीं बना सकता। भारतीय सिनेमा की एक पहचान जो पिछले सौ साल में बनी है, उसमें मुझे एक बात ही समझ आती है और वो है इसकी सच्चाई। सिनेमा और सच्चाई का नाता भारतीय सिनेमा में शुरू से रहा है। बस बदलते दौर के साथ ये सच्चाई भी बदलती रही है और बदलते दौर के सिनेकार जब इस सच्चाई को परदे पर लाने की सच्ची कोशिश करते हैं, तो बवाल शुरू हो जाता है। अनुराग की फिल्मों के सहारे भारतीय सिनेमा के पिछले बीस पचीस साल के विकास को भी समझा जा सकता है। अनुराग कश्यप भले अपने संघर्ष के दिनों को पीछे छोड़ आए हों और अपनी तरह के सिनेमा की पहचान भी बना चुके हों, लेकिन उनका सिनेमा पारिवारिक मनोरंजन के उस दायरे से बाहर का सिनेमा है, जिसे देखने के लिए कभी हफ्तों पहले से तैयारियां हुआ करती थीं। एडवांस बुकिंग कराई जाती थीं और सिनेमा देखना किसी जश्न से कम नहीं होता था। अब सिनेमा किसी मॉल में शॉपिंग सरीखा हो चला है। विंडो शॉपिंग करते करते कब ग्राहक शोरूम के भीतर पहुंचकर भुगतान करने लग जाता है, खुद वो नहीं समझ पाता। जाहिर है सिनेमा बस एक और उत्पाद भर बन जाएगा तो दिक्कत होगी ही।

The Short Story Writing Contest

Stories happen all the time in our lives, it’s just that only some of us make the efforts to actually pen them down and thus shelf them forever.
Tumbhi organized a Short Story writing contest with the motive of taking out those diaries of confessions and expressions from people’s lives, get them framed, have them exposed and thus being appreciated. The only condition posed before the writers was the inclusion of “Twist in the tale”, I.e.  the stories invited had to have a sudden turn or element of surprise in them!

As very much expected from the ‘writer’s breed’ all across the world, the stories came  in all the ways they could, with all the tangs of life, love, relationships, thriller, emotions, tragedy and what not.

The quality of the entries was worth exploring and enjoying by the jury which included names like Javed Siddiqui (Urdu and Hindi screenwriter, dialogue writer and playwright from India, written over 50 story lines, screenplays and dialogues), Pankaj Shukla (A Film Critic, a Senior Journalist , a Book Reviewer, a Writer and a Director) and Kiran Khalap (Author, brand consultant and founder of Chlorophyll brand & communications consultancy).

After days of reading, the jury finally managed to take out the top 25 among the so many few!
Tumbhi team takes pride to congratulate all 25 writers and their stories, who made it to the shortlists plus a huge applause for the writers who ‘even tried’ because Success is not always counted by the result but by the effort!

सार्थक सिनेमा, समानांतर सिनेमा और इतर सिनेमा के बाद हिंदी सिनेमा में इन दिनों एक नया सिनेमा धीरे धीरे शक्ल लेने लगा है। ये है जमीनी सिनेमा। जी हां, वो सिनेमा जो हिंदुस्तान की जमीन से अपनी खुराक पाता है। हमारे आपके बीच से कहानियां उठाता है और उसे बिना किसी दिखावे या लाग लपेट के ज्यों का त्यों परदे पर परोस देता है। पान सिंह तोमर और कहानी की कामयाबी के बहाने तुमभी.कॉम के सलाहकार व वरिष्ठ पत्रकार पंकज शुक्ल की इस नए जमीनी सिनेमा के चलन पर एक टिप्पणी।

साल की शुरूआत में प्लेयर्स जैसी मल्टीस्टारर फिल्म को मिली नाकामयाबी और इधर पहले पान सिंह तोमर और फिर कहानी को दर्शकों से मिली वाहवाही से एक बात का संकेत साफ मिलता है और वो ये कि दर्शक अब मसाला फिल्मों के निर्माताओं के मायाजाल से निकलने को छटपटा रहे हैं। जमीन से जुड़ी कहानियों को मिल रहे अच्छे प्रतिसाद ने उन निर्माता निर्देशकों के भी हौसले बुलंद किए हैं जो बजाय विदेशी फिल्मों की नकल करने की बजाय अपने आसपास की कहानियों को परदे पर उतारने की परंपरा का पालन करते रहे हैं। पान सिंह तोमर और कहानी की कामयाबी का सबसे दिलचस्प पहलू ये है कि भले विद्या बालन ने इस फिल्म के प्रचार के लिए एक गर्भवती महिला का स्वांग भरकर जबर्दस्त प्रचार किया हो लेकिन इस फिल्म के प्रचार में एक भी अभिनेता ने हिस्सा नहीं लिया। वहीं, पान सिंह तोमर के प्रचार के लिए इन दिनों फैशन बन चुके सिटी टूर तक नहीं हुए। इरफान चुपचाप अपनी पंजाबी फिल्म किस्सा की शूटिंग करते रहे और एक अच्छी फिल्म के बारे में लोगों को बताने का जिम्मा टि्वटर और फेसबुक पर मौजूद इरफान के प्रशंसकों ने संभाल लिया। दोनों फिल्मों की अच्छाइयां बताने के लिए सोशन नेटवर्किंग साइट्स पर एक अभियान सा छिड़ा दिखा और इन दोनों फिल्मों को हिंदी सिनेमा में कथानक की वापसी और स्टार सिस्टम की विदाई के तौर पर भी लोग देखने लगे हैं

पिछले दो तीन साल से जिस तरह धुआंधार प्रचार करके दबंग, रेडी और रा वन जैसी फिल्मों ने बॉक्स ऑफिस से करोड़ों रुपये बटोरे हैं, उसके चलते दर्शकों को भी अब समझ में आने लगा है कि हर वो फिल्म जिसके प्रचार के लिए सितारे शहर शहर घूमे, वो अच्छी ही हो ये जरूरी नहीं। काठ की हांडी के एक बार ही आग पर चढ़ पाने की बात लोगों को पता थी लेकिन इसके बावजूद बीते चंद महीनों में दर्शकों को यूं छलने का क्रम जारी रहा। ट्रेड मैगजीन सुपर सिनेमा के संपादक विकास मोहन कहते हैं, प्रचार करने के परंपरागत तरीकों में जोर फिल्म की कहानी का खुलासा करने के साथ साथ इसकी यूएसपी बताने पर रहा करता था। लेकिन, मौजूदा दौर में प्रचार के दौरान फिल्म के बारे में बातें कम होती हैं, और तमाम दूसरी चीजों के जरिए फिल्म के बारे में उत्सुकता जगाने पर फिल्म निर्माताओं की मेहनत ज्यादा होती है। इस फॉर्मूले ने कुछेक औसत से हल्की फिल्मों के लिए काम भी किया, पर अब दर्शक भी उपभोक्ता की तरह सोचने लगा है। उसे बार बार बेवकूफ नहीं बनाया जा सकता।

फिल्म प्लेयर्स में मुख्य नायिका रहीं बिपाशा बसु भी विकास मोहन की बात से सहमत नजर आती हैं। वह कहती हैं, मुझे ये मानने में कतई गुरेज नहीं कि प्लेयर्स पूरी तरह फ्लॉप रही। हिंदी सिनेमा में एक बार फिर जमाना वर्ड ऑफ माउथ पब्लिसिटी का लौट आया है यानी फिल्म देखकर निकलने वाले दर्शक अगर फिल्म के बारे में अच्छी बातें करते हैं तभी इसका फायदा फिल्म को मिलता है। सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स के चलते इसकी अहमियत और भी ज्यादा बढ़ गई है। अब तो हर दर्शक फिल्म समीक्षक हो गया है, वह फिल्म देखकर निकलने के साथ ही उसके बारे में फेसबुक या टि्वटर पर टिप्पणी कर देता है और इसका असर होता है। इसका सार्थक पहलू ये है कि लोग अब सितारों से ज्यादा कहानियों पर ध्यान देने लगे हैं। विद्या बालन की फिल्मों ने दर्शकों के सोचने के नजरिए में इस तरह का बदलाव लाने में बड़ी भूमिका निभाई है।

तो क्या पान सिंह तोमर और कहानी जैसी फिल्मों की कामयाबी की वजह से दर्शकों को अब बड़े परदे पर और भी लीक से इतर कहानियों पर बनी फिल्में देखने को मिलेंगी? जवाब देते हैं फिल्म निर्माता विनय तिवारी। वह कहते हैं, हिंदी सिनेमा को विदेशी सिनेमा की नकल करने की बहुत बुरी बीमारी लगी रही है। इंटरनेट और सैटेलाइट टेलीविजन से ही इस कैंसर का इलाज मुमकिन था और ये अब हो भी रहा है। अब 14-15 साल का बच्चा भी फिल्मों की कहानियों की चोरी या संगीत की धुनों की चोरी पकड़ सकता है। ऐसे में जरूरी हो गया है कि हम अपनी तरह की फिल्में बनाएं। भारतीय सिनेमा को विदेशों में पहचान मदर इंडिया जैसी फिल्मों से ही मिली है और हिंदी साहित्य में ऐसा बहुत कुछ लिखा गया है जिस पर अच्छी हिंदी फिल्में बन सकती हैं। हमने साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार विजेता काशीनाथ सिंह के उपन्यास काशी का अस्सी पर फिल्म बनाने का फैसला इसी क्रम में लिया। और, मुझे खुशी इस बात की सबसे ज्यादा है कि सनी देओल जैसे बड़े सितारे भी अब इस बात को समझ रहे हैं और इस तरह के प्रयासों का समर्थन करने के लिए आगे आ रहे हैं।

निर्माता विनय तिवारी की फिल्म मोहल्ला अस्सी को लेकर फिल्म जगत के अलावा युवाओं खासकर छात्रों में बेहद दिलचस्पी है। और, ऐसी ही दिलचस्पी लोग एक और जमीन से जुड़ी फिल्म गैंग्स ऑफ वाशीपुर को लेकर भी दिखा रहे हैं। निर्देशक अनुराग कश्यप की इस फिल्म की प्रेरणा भले एक अंग्रेजी फिल्म ही रही हो, पर भारत की दशा और दिशा में पिछले छह दशकों में आए बदलाव को कहने के लिए जिस तरह उन्होंने एक आम गैंगवार को कहानी को सूत्रधार बनाया है, वो काफी रोचक हो सकता है। अनुराग कश्यप फिलहाल इस फिल्म के बारे में ज्यादा कुछ कहते नहीं हैं। हालांकि, इस फिल्म के निर्माण से जुड़े लोग इसे अनुराग के करियर की अब तक की सबसे महंगी और सबसे निर्णायक फिल्म बता रहे हैं। आमिर और नो वन किल्ड जेसिका जैसी फिल्में बनाने वाले निर्देशक राजकुमार गुप्ता भले नाम कमाने के बाद अब पैसा कमाने के लिए घनचक्कर जैसी विशुद्ध मसाला कॉमेडी फिल्म बनाने की राह पर निकल गए हों, लेकिन पान सिंह तोमर के जरिए कामयाबी की नई ऊंचाई छूने वाले इरफान खान का नजरिया साफ है। वह कहते हैं, कहानी को सोचे और सीते बिना फिल्म बनाना अपने साथ बेईमानी है। और कोई भी काम बिना ईमानदारी के किया जाए तो ज्यादा दिन तक सुकून देता नहीं हैं। हम हिंदुस्तानी सदियों से भावनाओं में बहते आए हैं और ऐसे में अगर ये भावनाएं हमारे अपने बीच की हों तो हर आदमी का दिल ऐसी कहानियों के साथ हो ही लेता है।
